About Pempek

Pempek Systems, established in 1986, is, by-and-large, engaged in the design, manufacture, service and support of electronic control systems, predominantly installed and deployed on underground coal mining machinery.

Currently, around 50 intrepid souls take delight and pride in designing and providing elegant, cost-effective electronic hardware and software solutions to unique mining, tunnelling and machine monitoring challenges.

Over the years, Pempek has designed and manufactured equipment for most major mining machinery manufacturers and exports to many countries. At present, world-wide, around 700 machines fitted with our equipment are in active service.

Our quest is to design, manufacture, commission, service and support technologically advanced products which are 100% safe. Products which perform flawlessly each and every time, delight the senses, are a pleasure to interact with and enjoyable and fun to use. Eye-candy as well as easy on the thumb so to speak.

Our products and services must provide a significant cost benefit to our customers and the industry at large. They must contribute to, and result in, a better than 99.8% machine availability, measured as applicable, over 1 million tons of coal produced or transported or, as appropriate, over a six or twelve month period.

Our products must empower our end users and make them feel good about themselves, the work they do, as well as Pempek.

The modicum of success attained to date in our quest can be perhaps be attributed to our talented, dedicated staff, a preparedness to take risk, an unwavering commitment to quality, a policy of investing substantial capital into research and development and an eternal-optimist-mentality.
